The Four Chords Song - Part 1

The Four Chords Song - Part 2

I found these videos which I love. I saw them last weekend at Howl at the Moon. It's quite influencial. I am sure if you get to see them please go ahead. You will definately enjoy it very much.

Mad About English

"Mad About English"

I went to catch this private movie screening this evening at Shaw Centre, Lido 3 with the girls from Tong Building. It was quite a eventful evening for me because I had not seen them for quite a while since I've been going to marquez.

Anyway, I had met up with D at lucky plaza around 5.30. I was excited to see him because before having had met him I had a lesson with Carmen & Bryan Watson. They are two very influencial dancers who are extremely good at what they do. I had managed to spend a hour learning from them both. But since my dancing is not up to scratch I had to start from the basics. But it was a good thing because my basics are not there at all.

As I was saying I met D at Lucky Plaza this afernoon and I had been looking forward to seeing him reason being was because since he had been sick for the last 2 days I have not had the opportunity to see him. But today I was going to be able to spend a few hours with him which was exciting. I was totally looking forward to that.

He definately looked better than what he did on Monday. So after I had met him we went to the office in Tong Building and waited for Ann Ann because I promised her that I would go with her. It was nice to see her because I had not seen her for a very long time. And also it was the first time I had introduced D to her. So i think it had gone well.

We walked all the way to Shaw Centre and got some pop corn, hot dogs and pepsi. We managed to get a few tables because there were a few of us going from the office and we were still like relatively early. So we just sat, ate and caught up which was nice.

We finally went into the movie theatre and made ourselves comfortable and waited for time to pass before the movie started. We thought the movie was good and inspiring for us to see how the people in Beijing want to improve they're command in english. If you ever have time you should definately go and catch this movie.

A non-eventful day

As you can see Fifi treasures her treasures... Hahaha!

Even though it is black and white she still has a shiny forehead...
Dot....Dot....Dot....

It's past mid-day and Fifi and I are just sitting in the ballroom watching the clients dance they're hearts away. It was a non-eventful day for us. Rather boring if I had to be honest. I am not to sure why this was but Fifi was not able to sit still. Wierd one right? She kept on standing up and sitting down all the time.

Anyway later that evening I headed over to Sunny Low Studio to pick up Mami Aleena. She was quite busy preparing for the Singapore Flyer. Along with that she had to go to People's Park to the Money Changer to change some $ into pounds.

And then we finally arrived at the Singapore Flyer. Unfortunately to me it was not such a big deal. Although it looked grand and such it was not really anything special. The london eye is still way better than this. But of course it's a first time experience for the people in Singapore so they should enjoy it whilst they still can.

Joel aka Gwapa??

Well as you can see the photos proves that it had been a fun night. Indeed it was a lot of fun. I througouly enjoyed the games and the activities that they had in this birthday bash.

It had been slightly slow in the beginning because the clients came in one by one but the more clients came it had gotten more livelier which was nice. The floor got busy with all the guests walking around and at the same time it had gotten noisier too which had made it more fun.

The party had started around 8 plus and of course the birthday boy along with his clients had arrived with some of they're friends. I am not to familiar with who they were because to be honest they do not come into the ballroom much to dance unfortunately.

It was a slow start during the first part of it but like 30 minutes later it got busier as the crowd had arrived. The bar where Aaron was stationed was busy getting drinks for they're client as well as the buffet line.

Chris and Arlene came by to drop off the food and get the buffet ready for all the guests which was rather nice of them. Whatever it was, they had cooked a lot of food for all the party goers. I have to say that Arlene is a pretty good cook.

I personally do not have much to say about this party other than the fact that I had a good time even though I did not participate in any of the activities. Well done George and Happy Birthday!

29th July 2008 - Ben & Jerry's @ Dempsey!

Ben & Jerry's singlet for ladies!

The two nice sales girls @ Ben & Jerry's (Dempsey Branch)

Rex & Kelvin with they're ice cream.

So we made a afternoon with our Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Don't these two boys look happy with the lollipops? I must say that they were both content with they're ice creams.

But earlier in the day I was in Orchard in Tong building in my other so called office. I had a fair bit of work to do that morning hence, I was not able to show up in Marquez this afternoon. My sincere apologies about that. I hope that it was not to bad today Shirley. Not to many customers coming in.

I had spent my whole day with Ann Ann. A lady who works in Tong building under my mom. She is part of the scientific tradition team. Unfortunately, she was not feeling to good. She had been feeling a bit under the weather so we took things slow. I had not been in that office for quite sometime since now a days I'm pretty much stationed in Marquez. It was nice to be around the girls whom i used to see everyday when I once worked in Tong. I have to say I did miss not being able to see them everyday but then at the same time I enjoyed where I was working now. It's pretty much more relaxed I would say in Marquez, however we are always being watched by the watchful eye.

So after having spent a few hours in Tong, I had waited for time to pass before going to meet D. at clementi reason being was because he had not been feeling well since a few days ago. He had a terrible fever and he definately did not look good whatsoever. I was so concerned and worried for him I insisted on seeing a doctor but being as stubborn as he is, before he did not want to listen to me. He'd rather wait till it's to late before he would go to see one. Crazy right?!?

I reached clementi mrt station just before 2pm and i walked over to his block to see him and pick him up so that I could take him to see the doctor. Unfortunately, he did not want to leave right away so he just snoozed in bed for a while and then about 30 minutes later we had made a move to the clinic. He had been burning up because I did take his temperature and it was like 38.71. I am not to sure if that is entirely correct but I do believe it was somewhere around there.

When we got to the clinic we waiting about 30-45 minutes just for our turn to see the doctor. So he played with his rubix cube and I just sat with him flipping magazines that the clinic had. Some of them were quite useful but relatively old. I had seen some nice clothes and bags in the magazine's but I doubt that they have them anymore in the stores.

I recall they had called our number and we went in to see the doctor. It was a female doctor and the vibe that I got from her was that she was rather friendly. She was quite easy to speak with and had a rather good command of english so in my opinion I found her a pretty good doctor at that. She took D. temperature. She had prescribed him some medicine and told him to rest for as much as he could. He also told him in regards to his medicine he had to finish everything that he had been given, and the worst thing for me was that they were all pills.

I am not to sure how people are able to swallow pills because i for one have difficulty swallowing them no matter how big or small they maybe. We went back up to his place and rested in the fresh air.

Uncle Nasit's Daughter's Wedding...

This is my good friend Mandy Soo! Doesn't she look so pretty in her outfit. I've never seen her wear such bright clothing before but I thought that she looked stunning!

Elaine aka Jai's wife. Pretty right... Do you believe she's not malay?

A beautiful stage for the King & Queen to sit.

Rita, Nasit, Wife & Tanya. The couple in the middle look ever so happy for they're daughter. Yipppeeeee!

Uncle Nasit and his other half. He's been telling me that she apparently cooks very well.

Photo No 2 : Elaine & Jai. Had to retake because Jai did not like the first one I took which is just below this one. I can't see the difference though. Can you?

Elaine & Jai aka the newly weds.

The newly married couple and the daughter's parents. One big happy family :D

The son in law getting his blessing's from the daughter's family.

The daughter getting her parents blessing. Can you feel the love?!?

Uncle Nasit & Wife getting ready to give the newlyweds they're blessings...

Uncle Nasit & his beautiful family with the newlyweds.

D & I being such piggies grabbed every dessert off the buffet table, and you know what? We had gone back for more :D

And the show goes on....

The people at the wedding banquet looked on at the procession as they had played they're music and sang they're songs for the "King & Queen" for that day.

My only candid shot. I thought I would take this photo because it could show the little girl but one of the audiences head was in the way but anyway, the guy looking my direction is not bad looking : D hahah!

I only noticed there was a little girl I believe in the welcoming committee till D had pointed this out to me. She was pretty good at banging the tambourine. Cute right?!?

The newlyweds were getting they're blessing... Hallejuha!

The musicians from the welcoming committee. The music that they were playing, singing was beautiful!

After the welcoming party for the husband, they were finally sitting together on the stage as husband and wife. So sweet right?!?

This was the station where I got off at. It was my first time to come out this way. I just wanted to have proof that I had been here :D

When I had gotten off the Bukit Panjang LRT. This was my view from the platform. It was the Zhenghua National Archery Range.

I was woken up this morning by my mom. I was supposed to go for breakfast with my parents but I was to tired to get out of bed no matter how hard she had tried to do so. After having disturbed me for the whole 3 minutes she finally left me alone and I contiuned to sleep. Thank you mummy! I love you for letting me go back to bed.

Unfortunately, I have not seen much of my parents this whole week because I have either been at work or hanging out with D. So please mommy & daddy don't blame me as to why you've not seen much of your daughter lately okay?

I had recieved a call around 10+ because Pat had asked me what I had wanted to eat for lunch. I was not really paying attention to her because I was half asleep when she had called. Sorry Pat if I had sounded grumpy this morning. After having put down the phone I tried to go back to sleep for a while which if I am not wrong I was able to do however it was not for very long.

A few minutes later I finally got myself out of bed and at that moment in time I recall my stomach being quite hungry and so I had gone down to the kitchen to rummage for food but as usual we didn't have anything to eat. I called D up and was able to get a hold of him. I believe i possibly could have woken him up. I would just like to say, that I love your voice in the morning D. It sounds so sweet and innocent. I love you!

After having talked to him, I washed up and got online. I had to check my e-mail from Kerry Ball. Thank god he e-mailed me. It was regarding the comedy that my friends and I were going to catch tonight. Hopefully, they have not forgotten about it yet. I am looking forward to seeing them this evening though because I've not seen either one of them for a long time so hopefully it should be good.

By the time i had done all my personal thing I got changed and headed out to the bus stop on napier road. I hopped onto the bus number 75 and went all the way to Bukit Panjang Mall. I believe I waited for D for about like 15 - 20 minutes before he kindly showed up. He didn't look to well I have to say. He was quite faint and not as bubbly as he normally is. But anyway, once he had arrived, I was already in the kopitiam waiting for him and at the same time deciding what I had wanted to eat for lunch. I had my lunch and then after that I had to go to the atm machine to get some money out for uncle nasit's ang pao. I can't disclose the amount I had to give him, however, I am sure he is happy. After doing everything that needed to be done we made our way to the LRT. It was my first time to take one of these but I was throughly excited to be able to try one. I know, right now I probably sound like a kid but truly I was excited. After about 5-7 minutes we finally made it to Segar Road and I could see the community centre not to far away from the station...

I embarked on a new experience today. I was invited to go to Uncle Nasit's daughter's wedding party which was situated at the Zhenghua Community Centre.

D & I arrived at the Community Centre with great surprise there were of course a majority of malay families that have known Uncle Nasit and his family for generations. I've never been to a malay wedding before but I have to say it's actually very easy going. The people I had met but not really talk to are super friendly. I can say one thing about malay's they love to sit together and share they're food and everything. They're quite a warm and loving bunch towards each other.

It was the first time I had gotten to meet Uncle Nasit's whole family. I had seen his oldest son before because he had worked part time in the ballroom. Actually, speaking of his son. He was there last night in the ballroom since his dad was not there, hence because Uncle Nasit was busy preparing for his daughter's big day which was obviously today.

D & I, we had both enjoyed the party and the experience that we had been given. Thank you Uncle Nasit and his family for inviting us and we hope that the newlyweds have a happy lifetime together as a married couple.

I just got back from the comedy night at Howl at the Moon. I would like to give a big shout out to Axis of Awesome! I totally enjoyed the gig tremendously and I would like to say you guys rocked the show by far! Well done! Good luck in all your endevours in the future. I would also like to give a shout out to my dear friend Kerry Ball for handing me the tickets. My friends and I throughly enjoyed it. I really want to say thank you! I also want to say thank you to my friends who showed up. It was nice to be able to catch up with you all. Alex, Ally, Han, Boris & of course D. I hope to make a point to see you all more often if time permits. Thank you guys. It's been a fantastic day. I love you all & Good night!

A short afternoon away, around Holland Village...

My dear friend Kelvin had a bruise whilst playing soccer. He glady ran into a metal fence inturn he was trying to stop the soccer ball from going into the goal post.

D bought a pair of shoes from Queensway for $72 +++. Affordable right? :D

Robert Masanque : In the ladies toilet trying to burst open the door because one of our clients was stuck in the ladies changing room and was not able to get out.

Marvin Abao, Robert Masanque & Jai all working together to get open the door...

Holland Village : Cold Rock mashed ice cream with 20 over ingredients or toppings depending on person's choice... Looks good right? ~slurps~

The Logo for Cold Rock...

When I walked into the pet shop they only had dogs locked up in they're cages and they looked pretty miserable and sad right? I spoke to the sales girls that was taking care of the shop for the owner and they said that they were taking care of them by giving sufficient food and taking them out for walks twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the night before they close the shop for the day.

I did not think that dogs would even have strollers but apparently in this shop that I had come across they do and I would think it's quite pricey but it looks quite innovative. I am not sure how big the dogs would be before they would not be able to use the stroller but i guess it's a lot easier to use than to carry the dog in the branded dog bags... I would say a stroller is more affordable and all then those bags...

Apparently they have a good Laksa situated from Holland Village. I believe my mom and some of her friends like to go there to eat. I am sure it quite delicious because

I came across another and more professional like pet shop. As you can see i took a photo of the entrance of the shop. It looks more well structured and done right? It was a pretty big flight of stairs to get to the top of the shop however, it did not have the pet shop smell like the one we had first gone into so I was thankful for that. The dogs were placed in they're own seperate cages and full with air condition and was clean so the dogs hygiene was kept well.

This dog his fluff was white as snow. I believe it was a he and he was biting on this purple toy that was put in his cage. He seemed happy being able to play with it because he only had one toy in there anyway. Fortunately he did not care the people that was watching him whilst he was playing with the toy. I must say he had a pretty good character though which was fascinating to watch.

This dog belongs to one of the sales girls and she was roaming around the shop. She looked very contented with the things she could play around with and at the same time the people coming in and out of the shop. She seemed well behaved and cute. I didn't dare go up and pet it because i possibly could have gotten a scolding from the shop keeper.

This dog was napping and he pressed himself up against the glass of the window. D, liked him very much hence I sneaked a quick picture of him.

This brown haired toy poodle was not looking at me because as you can see he was quite busy biting the pink blanket and would not look up at me. But once he stopped and looked up he looked so cute. He had little brown eyes but at the same time he had a twin sister in the cage next to him and she was more hyper than he was so it was nice to see them so called placed next to each other.

This dog had caught my attention because it reminded me of this chinese movie I had seen by mistake which I just found out it's called CJ7. I actually sat through quietly and watched the movie. I throughly enjoyed it and I would watch it again. The little boy is quite cute, do you agree?

Anyway, I am back at work in the Ballroom and thinking whether to go out and meet my friends after work. I may go out or I might just stay in the ballroom. I got to get ready for work...
