Friend's from the Phil are in town....

Ello Ello, 

Once again I have been pretty slack. Lots going on right here and also friends are coming back from other parts of the world so I have not been able to talk to them which is quite sad but at the same time I have been having a rather busy schedule and I am sure they have been busy too themselves.

Last week I've been busy with work and I danced like 4 nights in a row and by the end of the whole dancing in the afternoons and nights i was definitely danced out but I was happy about that because I had been done even worse than that before it did not make much of a difference for me. However, the last week when I had danced I got a few scoldings from John Rey because it was quite bad that I was not executing as much as I could have or should have done. 

~ThiNkz~ What else have I been up to... I have been spending a fair bit of time with my Mom over the past weekend. I saw some of her friends when I had not been at work and such which was honestly quite relaxing however, when I had gone to Batam I got a ton of mozzie bites which I am not to happy about. They sure were so darn Itch I did not like it one bit. 

I was also told my Dad's secretary that she got mumps which is a terrible terrible thing to have. I was not familiarized with what it was until I wikipedia it and found out that it had made her whole face swollen up like a big bee had stung her. I did not get to see her but I saw the effects of what she would have looked like if i had seen her by images i had seen when i browsed the Internet for it. 

John and Josephine was on the Sunday but unfortunately I was not able to watch the competition however I was told there were a lot of people were there to watch but not to compete compared to last year's competition. The reason why I had wanted to watch it this time around because I had a few friends who were competing for the first time and they had come to support me in my competitions however there was conflict between my mom and J & J hence me not being able to go. Anyway I was told I was not missing out on much and surprisingly some friends from the Phil did not make it into the finals which I am sure they are totally upset about. I feel for them but then again I am sure they are used to get into the finals.

I am sure there were lots others but I am not to sure who else had participated.

On Monday evening after work I met up with a friend for a meeting and I saw his wife who just came from the Phil and we had gone to Chijmes for dinner which was great. We had Japanese food which was absolutely delicious. I loved it and so did everyone else who was there I believe. But actually, I wished I did not have to go because I was pretty knackered as I was from the long day at work. I was like sitting half way through the meeting trying my hardest to keep awake. 

On Tuesday I woke up really early in the morning and headed to work. I cannot recall as to why I had woken up that early however i woke up really early and went to meet a colleague of mine and grabbed some breakfast. Breakfast to me is like coffee so yea that was what I had. I realize it is not the healthiest thing in the world I had it anyway and it buzzed me up and it would have kept me buzzing for the next 3 hours just like "RED BULL". I do not know about you but I loveeeee "RED BULL" aka "SHARK" as they serve it in the ballroom.

Slack...

I realize I have been slack. I've been having late nights and busy days and to top it all off it has been raining a lot especially today but I do have to say it's good to be back in Singapore where the Sun Shines and where it rains a lot. It is just my luck.

I have been running from office to office as per normal which is always fun. It has been rather stressful somewhat and work has been keeping me rather stressed out since I had just arrived back here in town. 

I am glad whilst I was on the Gold Coast that I was able to meet up with Phil. The last time I had seen him was when he was in Singapore and he only here or a couple of days to help his brother Julian to get a job so yea that was good. Was happy to hear that Jools managed to get a job in the Hyatt so I am sure he is totally happy about that.

Anyway, I've been speaking to Sven a fair bit today which was nice although we only started to chat about 2pm because I was out for most of the morning and at the same time he was busy with his own work because he has a event coming up this weekend.

As for Dex, we have not been talking much because I guess we are both busy with things going on in our little lifestyles but I am sure that he is doing fine even though we are not speaking. Although he should know that he is on my mind most of the time except when I am sleeping. 

Since at work right now in Marquez it is totally quiet even now the fact that it is raining and pouring here. It just makes me want to sleep but obviously I am not allowed to that. How I wish. The Ballroom tonight should be busy and good I hope because i noticed quite a number of people had reserved tables which is great.

Back In Singapore

Woooo, I arrived late last night and spent my evening un-packing my suitcase and catching up with friends on the phone which was good. I was happy in a way to be  back in Singapore. I was happy to be back home in my room but I felt like shit reason because whilst I was gone in Australia I asked the singtel boys to come over to my place to fix the internet which they have to meddle with my phone line and such which was good but however when I had plugged in the modem and such last night it had not worked as well as I though it should have. But I've made a appointment for them to come tomorrow to fix it for me which hopefully they can. However, I will not be able to be there when they are at my house because I will be at work at the time so I just hope that they can fix it for me. ~prays~

Well.. I am at work right now. I've got a lot of things to do and people to call and friends to catch up with and meet so it should be good. Yay! Stressed though with work because I have deadlines to meet and I should have done most of it whilst I was on vacation but I can honestly say I never got round to it.

I got a sweet phone call from dex this morning. Actually, I called him up early this morning however, he was not awake at that time because he mentioned to me when I did speak to him over the phone that he went to bed at like 3am yesterday and like woke up around 1oam. Talk about like a really cute & adorable piggy yea. I am excited for him because he has his first dance class this evening in a studio which I cannot remember the name of but I am sure he would do well and at the same time have loads of fun. I wish you all the best. xx

Well for the rest of the day I will just be at work so not much to blog about..

I know I know I've been slack. I've been spending my days on the gold coast bludging, sleeping and eating and stuff and it's been loads of fun at the same time boring, I am totally enjoying myself being back in Australia though. This must be the longest or one of the longest times I've been staying here in Australia and trust me I totally totally love it.

Finally @ The Gold Coast

Revamping of my Blog thanks to my distant but good friend Mr Antaran had made some changes as to how my blog looks and I love the look. Thank you for taking some time out of your busy schedule to help me work  on my Blog. I will definately treasure and admire the changes for many days to come. Thank you friend...

As I have mentioned at the title of this new Blog Entry I am now on the Gold Coast. Arrived here around 1pm this afternoon and am tired now but however I am not able to sleep for god knows what reason. But anyway last night after the comp I was not in the best of moods and so I stayed up till about 4 am catching up with friends and such and just chatting to them online and also speaking to some of John Rey's ex room mates in Thailand which was enjoyable being able to catch up with them even though it was online. I am sure John Rey has missed his old friends from there. 

I have not been doing much but relaxing, sleeping and catching up with friends and such over msn and such. Just taking it easy really and my mom as usual is super busy with work and such so I have not really spent much time with her but I am used to it.

Actually, funny I should say this but I miss Singapore. I want to go home but at the same time I don't. I realize this does not make any sense but I know that i miss my friends and such..

I found out earlier today that unfortunately after a long period of courting/dating one another than a friend of mine and his girlfriend broke up 

I Did A Shit Job At Crown

Well today was a big day cos we did the Crown Championships but the results we had gotten because of my dancing was totally shit. I was not impressed with the way I danced. I was really not happy with how I danced this evening and the thing was that we just entered one category. So we spent the whole day resting and wasting away in the venue waiting for our event to come up. I have to say now I totally understand as to why it is tiring waiting for the event to happen before it does like you just sit around and get pretty tired as it is. It's crazy I tell you. 

I have to say I have never seen as many people as I had today packed in one place like that before ever in my life. It does make a major difference tho and the ambience is a whole lot nicer. It is now like almost 2am in the morning on the 14th and we just got back into the hotel room and I am or have just ordered some food for ourselves and I would have to say we are pretty hungry as it is. 

I for one have not eaten so much today and actually the more tired i get the less hungry I become which is a good way to lose weight I believe but I could always be wrong.

Anyway, I know this is not so interesting but hopefully I will write more about today when I arrive on the Gold Coast later today.

An Amazing Night

Heya it was a good day yesterday. We had a early start to the last day of practice. It had gone pretty good. We woke up repacked all our things and like got ready for moving into crown. I had wanted to pack and move into crown to stay one more night there instead of staying at my aunts place so that John Rey would feel more comfortable and also he would not need to spend teaching my aunt dancing for the very last time yea. 

So we packed all our things and then brought them to the main entrance of Alice's house and then headed off to the studio for our last lesson before our competition. I hope that we would or I would benefit from Julie's lessons that she has given me or else it would just be considered to be a waste of money and time for me, her and John Rey.

We decided to take the tram down to the city for the last time since we could always walk from then on in since we would be staying in Crown. So we got onto the tram after like 5 minutes wait for it to come down towards our direction. It was taking quite a while for us to travel down to the city cos the tram for some reason was extremely slow and like I had so much stuff in my bag which was making it extra heavy it's crazy to carry. 

We finally reached the city and like we were 1 hour early but John Rey insisted on going early so we won't be late so we hopped onto the train at Flinder's Station but before we got onto the train we got some credit for John Rey's Phone because he had used a lot of it from the other time so we had to reload it for him. 

I am rather p/oed right now because I have bought quite a lot of things for him this trip and like the money which my dad had given me has nearly gone and I feel shit because I have not been able to save money and like I can honestly say I have bought a few things for him so like yea it's just gone haywire. Shit I know....

We got onto to the train for the last time to take our last trip to Thornbury. I will surely miss the 30 - 40 minute train ride daily but I am grateful that we won't have to train it down anymore. We got there early and when we reached Ydance it was not opened yet so we went to the cafe near by and grabbed lunch whilst waiting for the group to show up.

Heard that they got like into a like traffic fine for like $220 dollars for speeding for some reason and i was shocked by the amount of it. It was bloody shocking and irritating. God I would be pissed off with the officer that had given me the fine. Julie was discussing whether to bring the officer to court and I believe that she should but I am not to sure if she should go through with it.

So we got to the studio and waited there whilst waiting for them to show up we went and grabbed some lunch. We went and had lunch at this Antz place which we passed every day on the way to the studio. As usual John Rey ate heaps and I only had a sandwich which tasted like shit but there was not much of a choice for me to choose from  but I did not have much of a choice oh well. We waited for about like a hour for them to show up and it was ridiculous having to wait this long reason being the weather since we were sitting outside was getting really hot and shit so it was a hassle.

They finally showed up and headed to the studio to have our lesson. This would have been our last lesson before the competition and so we practiced really hard for the final time. Julia corrected some of our samba routine and also our rhumba routine and looked at our paso routine. She made us dancing all 4 dances one after another and that was tiring in itself. I was told before the lesson though by another dancer called Mario that in the evening they had a practice session at night but I could not be bothered to stick around and wait so that we could practice however I was told it was good. 

I am getting rather irritated by John Rey. As much as he nice and shit he is really irritating and it's driving me nuts. I have no idea how to explain it but just the way he is getting on my nervous unfortunately I just put up with it and like he does not know how i feel and i can't be fucked to tell him how i feel. I am pissed as well for having spent so much money on his shopping for jeans and shit. It's ridiculous that i spent a shit load of money on him for clothes and shit and i didn't even bother to buy things for myself. I do not think he is even grateful for the shit I've done for him this trip and being considerate to him. He just annoys me sometime and I guess it is something I am going through and hopefully I will get through. Why does he have to be this irritating. Bah. I hate feeling like this and no one knows.

It was a amazing night last night. We had gone to fusion this bar in the Casino. It was our like first time to go clubbing like how we had since we had been in Melbourne and it was good. The place we had started off before fusion was shit but i enjoyed fusion because there was a guy talking to me but like nothing happened because the others were there. But overall it was good fun however by the end of it my feet were killing me.

Yes I know I have once again become rather slack and I have a good reason for it. For the last 2 days since i last logged in here I have just been plain ole lazy. 

Well here is the rundown of what I have been doing since I last logged in. Nothing really interesting. Just been doing some shopping but not for me for someone else and also sleeping and eating and meeting up with friends. So far since i have been able to meet up with like 2-3 friends and hopefully I could meet up with more before i head over to the Gold Coast.

I hope when I am over at the Gold Coast that I would be able to spend sometime with Phil and such which should be exciting yea...

Well the weekend should be rather busy since the comp is coming up so we have been practicing or semi-practicing hard for it and also but I wished we would spend more time practicing harder for it and such cos like I feel a bit upset that lately especially this week we lost track of time and were late for the lesson with Julie yesterday and i got into a huge fit with myself and cos really pissed off because I was looking forward to practicing and such. 

So anyway last night when we were supposed to be having a lesson we just hung out in the city and then went to toorak village to pick up some food and then over to my other cousins house aka ian and like was just nice to be in his house because I have not been in his house for quite a long time so it was nice to be there however i was missing not seeing derek since he was in the united states. 

I know this is really short and slack but I don't have much to say today. I hope to fill you in with more over the weekend.

It has been a busy day over the last two days. I have been caught up with things happening hence, I have not been able to blog at all that much so i am sorry about that. 

So well let me give you the rundown on what I have been doing. We had some dance practice over the last two days but I have to say not that much than what we should be doing. I wish we would practice more but John Rey for some reason does not want to but what can I do? I guess for the next week though before competiton hopefully we would be able to practice hard.

On Saturday we woke up pretty late in the morning If I recall correctly. We went into the city and had a wonder before our lessons at 1pm in the afternoon. It was a beautiful day on this day and I was rather loving having to walk around the city. I was quite nervous about like meeting Julie & Andrey's teacher cos I was honestly not sure what to expect. After having walked around in the city we finally made our way to the studio at Thornbury.

We rucked up at the studio half an hour early and there were quite a few couples and such having lessons so it was nice to see. They were practicing New Vogue. I have never seen this dance being danced before until I went to Tracy's Studio on the Gold Coast last year and learnt how to dance it with Don Don and such and it was quite weird however it was not to bad either. I do no really understand though as to why people would want to dance it.

We started our lessons at 2pm with Jim. I found him to be quite joyful to be taught from and he corrected like a fair bit of our rumba routine and made it stronger. I like what he did for us and he helped us with our connection. He fixed some of our steps in the routine and made it stronger too so I was really happy about that. He was very impressed with John Rey's body movement. He had given John Rey good praises and comments on his dancing so he was happy.

After our lessons we stayed there and practiced our Samba and such but not to seriously unfortunately. I wished we would have been more motivated to our practice however he was looking at some young chick dancing with her partner.  I know I should not go into so much detail but still :P He does get distracted pretty easily. He is a boy. What can i do?

After our practice we made our way home by tram. We've been getting good by travelling by the tram. We travelled all the way home via the city. It was about 30 - 40 minutes by tram. We had to make a few stops along the way and the tram was getting more and more packed with people. 

We finally reached the city and walked around for a bit more before going back home. We were kinda like dreading to go home reason being is because he knew that he would have to teach my cousin and Aunt which they unfortunately realize it's his job to teach them and not for free but of course they do know this and we just had a discussion about it yesterday night before going to bed. Unfortunately I do not know how to tell them and such if they want him to teach them more.

So we have been eating out a fair bit as well. Going around the town of Melbourne. I took John Rey to the St Kilda Sea Baths which was absolutely beautiful. We were there for about almost 3 - 4 hours. We met up with a friend of mine Jess yesterday and her boyfriend and had lunch in a italian restaurant at Acland Street I believe it is called. It was a beautiful and sunny day however it would not be possible for people to go swimming at the time at least not in the ocean yea. 

So we walked along the market whilst waiting for Jess to show up and we saw some really nice things that had been done and made by the locals but they were unfortunately rather pricey. I picked up a coconut like bracelet which is actually quite nice. It reminds me of the bracelete that Lindsay Lohan wore in the movie "Mean Girls" John Rey had picked up a really wicked ring and something small for his wife which was nice. 

We finally met up with Jess and walked towards the restaurant. It was a nice atmosphere and ambience in the place that we had gone too. It was more like a chilled hang out place but on this particular day since it was the weekend it had a few families and such. But overall it was a nice restaurant with good bread and dips which the four of us loved lots. 

We ordered like two pizza's and 1 pasta which was not that bad. However I was not that hungry at the time so I just had two slices of pizza which I ordered. It was delicious. We managed to finish the pizza that I had ordered but there was only one slice of the pizza left. So we just left it with the other pizza that Jess had ordered and her boyfriend took it home. After lunch we went to Apples which is like a ice cream company which I do not think was that good. I would have rathered trampoline but I go a ice cream along with Jess and soon as I stood out of the store it had stared to melt which was not very good at all. 

So we went back and walked along the Sea Baths and then we met up with a filipino which John Rey was totally happy about. He had seen so many motorcycles which he loved at the Sea Baths I had been asked to take photos of him with them. As crazy as it sounds it made him happy so I did it. And then we say something else that he loved which was the Kite boarding. It was a big thing that was going on that day and there were a few people doing it mostly men riding the waves with they're kites. 

We had finally left St Kilda by about four and caught a tram back into the city cos I had arranged to meet Aunt Alice and such for dinner around 6.45 in the Marriott Hotel in the Lobby. We had time to kill cos it only took us about 20 minutes by tram to get to the city so we walked around again before some of the shops closed we had managed to see some nice things but however we did not buy anything from any of the stores we had gone too.

Whilst making my way to the Marriott Hotel I was getting a bit lost so I had to ask people for directions. It was rather irritating because John Rey was being in a irritating mood once again. He was getting on my nerves however I would of course not tell him. He's just like that I realize.

So we finally met up with my cousins and hopped into the car and went to Frankston for dinner. We went to have some Vietnamese food. I loved the Rice rolls that they had. They had put chicken in it and it was delicious however I did not quite like the leaves that they put in there. Other than that the others ordered they're own dishes but I have to say that the chicken in chill and garlic was also delicious. We were all pretty hungry and tired especially John Rey and I so we did not have much mood to eat at a slow pace. 

After dinner we stopped by a milk bar aka gas station and picked up some ice lollies. I did not really like mine because it was rather heavy and rich at the same time so I just nibbled a little bit of it and then chucked the rest at home. When we got home it was intime to catch So You Think You Can Dance Australia. I had to say it was my first time being able to catch this episode and like it was good. I saw some pretty good dancers and I loved they're routines. It was beautiful to see them being so flexible and versatile. Totally impressive.

After the show had ended I headed back to the room and crashed on my bed as well as John Rey had crashed on his for about an hour because he had to teach my cousins and aunt again some music. This time he was focusing on Hip Hop and corrected her movements and gave her some new steps to practice so yes she benefitted from it a lot I would say.

Whilst John Rey had been busy teaching I was just checking my e-mails and such and then not to long after I headed to bed...

Another Long Day

Once again I sit infront of my laptop expressing my thoughts and feelings about the day that is nearly over which I have 1 more hour to go. I got a few texts throughout the day today because my friends who have been trying to contacted me sent me a text message which was nice.

We woke up this morning around 11 am and so I had gone downstairs to see where everyone and what everyone else had been doing. They were all in the lounge room lounging around and I suppose waiting for us to wake up because I believe it was almost time for they're lunch. When I had gone down I was told that they were heading out for lunch somewhere in Carlton. We had gone to eat some pizza but on the way to the actual restaurant we had gone elsewhere to see whether or not we would want to try it instead of going to the actual destination.

We stopped at this rather hip kind of suburb called Frankston which I have to say in the years I had been going to school in Melbourne I had never been there before so it was a nice change. We had all rucked up to this restaurant which seemed to me like a vege kinda restaurant. They had a pretty nice layout and crowd of mix ages. The food there did not see to bad either and rather big servings however I don't think Jonathan felt like eating there cos they I presumed would have been craving for pasta and pizza which this restaurant clearly did not have. So we left that place and made our way to the place we had intended to go.

We rucked up at this restaurant which I presumed was built around ferrari's because that happened to be the theme of this particular restaurant. It had pictures of the cars and the Ferrari team and such it was rather entertaining. Even the waitress were all in red. It was rather nice to see them all dressed up and matching the decoration of the whole place. 

We had a good lunch I have to admit. 4 small pizza's followed by a garden salad. By the time we had gotten the food we were all pretty much very hungry I have to admit. We gobbled it down like hungry monsters because the aroma of the food and such that we had smelt from other people who were eating there made us even more hungry. 

After lunch we had gone to the New Melbourne Museum which once again I had not been there even when I had gone to school. It was definately interesting to go and have a look at because I have to admit there were a lot of things to see although we did not enter the museum proper we did get to see some of the exhibits and such. We came across a research center where they had laptops and particular exhibits such as minerals, fossils and what not so we spent quite a bit of time having a look at that. I found that rather interesting and educational because since i had not been in school for quite a while I have to say I have forgotten some of the things that I had learn whilst in school.

We walked around and came across the garden exhibit. They had taken a whole lot of space next to the museum and they had secured it off to the public. Unfortunately, the only way to be able to go in is by paying an entrance fee but we did not feel like going to spend a few hours looking for or at flowers and such so we walked by the park and took some candid shots of the buildings and such whilst we could. I had to say by that time the sun was shining and it was rather hot but beautiful. 

We walked towards the car and headed over to somewhere near Thornbury to pick up some typewriters for Uncle Danny from the "Tyoewriter man". It took us more than about 30 minutes to get there reason is because Alice was not exactly sure how to get there and we were instructed by Jonathan and the good ole melways. In the car I was getting rather sleepy and Lauren had passed out but the only reason why that was is because I do not think that she was feeling all that well unfortunately. It took us all in all about 1 hour to go there and back so I figured it had been a waste of time to do that silly errand but of course I did not tell her that out loud.

By the time we got home it had been around 4pm or slightly after and I personally was feeling tired and bored. Unfortunately I had a bad stomach upset and so I dashed to the bathroom as soon as I had entered the front door. I don't know what it was but I believe it must have been something I ate which I was not really happy about but I was good after I had made my deposit. After that I went to room to laze a bit and then John Rey came up and asked me for some help because he had decided earlier in the day that he would cook for my cousins and me.

So we were getting down to business. Johnrey was cutting up all the ingredients and all I basically had to do was to peel the potatoes and also the carrots which seemed like a pretty easy job for me actually however I do not know why it seemed so hard. So I left John Rey to fend for himself in the kitchen with all the ingredients and I had gone to chat to a friend on my laptop for a while which was quite fun. Besides I realize that I know John Rey does not like to be disturbed whilst he is cooking a meal. He likes it to be pretty much empty and clean yea.

His cooking was almost done and so I headed back up to the room to change for practice in the ballroom that they had in the house. We just did one round of each dance and by the end of it we were both pretty knackered. I know it may be surprising however we were showing Alice our routine. I found the floor rather slippery but we managed although I know John Rey was perspiring even though the room temperature and such was rather cold. 

After that Alice danced a little bit of Argentine Tango with John Rey since she had not danced it for the last 6 months so she gave it a shot. She put on her dancing shoes and dance a bit with him and thank goodness he taught her the basics to some of the tango  moves so I was happy. She was very satisfied with it all. 

After the dancing episode we sat down for dinner. It smelt so good. The adobo and the chicken. I think most of us walloped the chicken because it was really tasty and very delicious. I ate some rice and some of the chicken and the pork adobo which I absolutely loved.

After dinner I had a shower and then sorted out some personal issues and then went down to the living room where Lauren and Jonathan were and watched tv followed by putting videos onto my Ipod which was not that hard to do so I was happy with the results I got. So far I've got 2 videos on it so I am pretty happy about that. They are both dance videos. *Yay*

Well I got to go and head to bed because I've got a lesson at 1pm with Jim so hopefully it will go well. I am not to sure what to expect.

A Tiring Day

We happily slept in today not knowing that my time was 1 hour behind the actual time. I had woken up this morning around 9.30 not knowing that it was actually 10.30 till I had gone down to say hey to everyone who was still at home at the time. I did not realize that our lessons with Julie today was at 12 and I had assumed that the studio was in the city somewhere but like I was so wrong. It turned out that I had to go to a far our place as far as Epping to get to the studio Crazy I tell you!

Anyway, it was the first time for John Rey to take a train in Melbourne and I figured it would have been a good experience for him since it is obviously the fastest and most convenient way for him to travel. So what we did we set of on foot to the Kooyong train station and waited a bit for the train that would have to take us to the City. It took us let's say 10 minutes or so to get to the train station although my cousin said it would only take us 5 or so minutes to get down there from his house. I guess we just did not walk fast enough. 

When the train came we noticed whilst sitting down in one of the carriages that there was this really cute red-headed girl with her parents who were absolutely adorable. She was sitting directly opposite John Rey and was playing around with her father's mobile phone. She was I think only 5-6 years old and totally cute. She had caught John Rey's attention and was like giving him cute little winks and such in his direction which he totally loved although he definitely would not admit it.

So we finally made it into the city after 30 minutes train ride and like when we got there to Flinders Street station there were a lot of young drug like people which was not a pretty thing to see unfortunately and John Rey I would have to say I am sure he is not used to see this sort of thing not like in Manila or Bohol where he is from. I would think it is a eye opener for him. 

We rushed to meet my Aunt in Collins Street because I had to print out the map that Julie had sent me on the directions of how to get to the Studio. I had asked one of the guys in the shop called Ian on how to get there and he said that it would have take about 30 minutes to travel to where I had needed and wanted to get to. So he said to go back to Flinders Street Station and go on the Epping line which was not that hard to find. He said that it would take another 30 minutes to get there. So I quickly dashed out of the store and gave Julie a call to let her know that we would be late. Before rushing to the studio we dropped by vodafone on Collins street and registered for a pre-paid sim for the both of us and finally we then proceeded to make our way to the Studio.

We got to Thornbury almost 2pm which was just intime for class. We had a bit of trouble finding the studio unfortunately. We like walked out of the train station and then towards the main road. We were not to sure whether or not to go right or left to get towards the studio. So I gave Julie a call to ask for directions but funny enough she was not to sure herself which way we should be walking towards so she had to ask Andrew on directions for us to be able to make our way to the studio. We finally walked down the main road and saw Andrew and then walked even further and saw Julie standing on the side of the road waiting for us. So we met up with her and started our lesson.

She had drilled us on our paso doble routine which I still feel a bit funny and akward about because I am not used to the hand movements and such. When I do it like if i do a stupid hand movement it just makes me feel odd and funny and to make issues worse is that John Rey laughs at me and if I get it wrong he would just squeeze my hand and that way I would know if he is upset or angry with me. So we worked on that for the first hour and a half and I think it was fairly productive in a way in such that she had fine tuned some our movements and steps especially on my part because John Rey knew how to do his well enough he didn't need much help.

We had a break inbetween so what we did we went and grabbed some lunch. Or should I say he went to grab some lunch a few doors down from the studio. We went into this little outlet run by a indian guy and he had some rice and chicken which apparently was very good but that was just because he was hungry. However, I was put of by the smell of the restaurant. He took his own sweet time eating as he does but that was only because I think he was tired at the same time yea. After he had eaten his food we went to the nearest grocery store because we were in search of some universal plugs so that we could use our phones and charge them. We found safeway and picked up some donuts and such for John Rey because one thing is for sure he would get hungry in the middle of the night and search for food but unlike last night he had rumaged through my suitcase for the biscuits that I had bought for Auntie Helen. But tonight if he got hungry he would just have to look for the bottle of water and donuts that we got so it would not be so bad.

Our next lesson was at 4pm so we headed back to the studio and John had crashed at the couch in the corner. So when Andrew showed up at the studio he had asked me where John Rey was and i didn't realize he had fallen asleep so we both walked towards the couch of where he laid and Andrew woke him up by feeling his arm. Whilst that was happening John Rey had a big smile appear on his face which was rather amusing. So we just sat there in the corner and started to talk about the couples that were going to be coming to Australia next week. We then started to talk about Bangkok because Andrew & Julie were going to be going there tomorrow for competiton and Andrew was asking John Rey about things that they could do and see whilst they were there. So John was telling him about the places he should check out if he had time. Some of the things that John had said was rather amusing to be honest. Then Julie had come to join us speaking about the comp and the categories as well.

We finally got down to our 1 hour and 30 minutes worth of practice. We worked on our Samba because little did we know our 4 dance was samba not Paso and I know that I am not good at it however like we've been working on Paso even when Julie was in Singapore thinking that Paso would have been our fourth dance. Terrible I know but what can we do. We just got to work and fine tune it as much as we possibly can before the comp and just do our best if and when we can. I just hope and pray that before this competition at least we do our bests and not worry about the results however I do hope we get slightly better than the last competition.

Finally, we had finished our lesson for the day and we sat down with Julie to schedule the rest of the lessons for the rest of the time we are here and we set it so that we would have lessons pretty much every day from the time she comes back till the following weekend and with all the practice and everything else I have been doing it should go well and smoothly. All I can do basically is just pray and hope it all goes well and of course practice hard.  When our lesson was over we made our way back into Flinders and rushed towards David Jones to go and grab some universal adaptors which was finally found so we were totally happy about that. John Rey was over the moon because ever since we arrived in Melbourne he has been asking me for it and I did not know what to say or do to be able to shut him up but finally now I have been able to so I am pretty happy about that. 

After getting the adaptors we were walking along the main road somewhere near Chinatown and we had passed some restaurants so I decided why not have dinner in one of the places we had just walked pass. John Rey had seen a Thai restaurant so we went on in. But for that moment when I sat down I got really tired and was not in the mood to eat any food unfortunately. So John Rey had ordered his dinner and I just sat there and watched him gobble up all his food. Amazing yea, he's so darn skinny but eats like super quick. I wonder if he ever gets indigestion??

Soon after we walked back to Flinders and hoped on a train back home. And now we're just chilling out. Actually John Rey's passed out in bed so I'm going to go...

Plane Ride

Mr Wee had taken John Rey & I to the airport last night so we would not miss out flight. The check in and shopping spree that we had was not to bad at the airport. We had gone to get some toiletries and also I went to pick up some books which I am currently reading. One of them is called the Kite Runner which I actually went to watch the movie but I was told that the Book is a lot better than the movie so I picked it up and so far from what I have read I do agree it is good. Thanks Rach for recommending it to me. I really appreciate it.

Anyway i tried to sleep whilst on the plane and John Rey as annoying as he is stuck like plastic paper from god knows where in my mouth and that made me irritated and woke me up all the time because he was saying I slept like a gold fish but whatever :P

Woo Woo, I am live from Melbourne. I am staying at a cousins place here in Toorak and to be honest i feel a bit like an outsider. I have not really been in touch with this particular group of cousins for quite sometime so you know being with them like this for the first time is something new to me. 

We had quite a while to wait at the airport before we could get through customs which totally sucked. It was like a 2 hour wait and that was absolutely ridiculous for the customs/declaration would have needed to take less but unfortunately they were not working efficiently or effectively. But we finally made it out of the airport around let's say slightly after 10am close to 11am. I know crazy as it may sound that was how long it had taken us. 

So we got to my cousins house and we just totally crashed in our room and passed out because we were not able o sleep very well on the plane hence the babies crying etc. You know the usual stuff. Unfortunately, I was getting cramp so I had to cancel my lesson today with Julie and instead I just stayed in bed and rested my poor and sore tummy.

So being with my cousins is actually quite nice. I find them a rather quiet sort of family but of course I do not or have not spent so much time with them when I had been attending school in Melbourne when I was younger. Hopefully this time around I would get to know them better especially my two younger cousins. I have to say that they have definitely grown a lot and it's a good thing.

We went to the grocery store around 5pm and got some food for the day that we want to cook. It had gone pretty well but  by that time John & I had not eaten lunch so we grabbed some bread rolls and munched them whilst waiting for Auntie Alice to return from the gym. Since I've been in her house I've been able to spend time with her and get to know her better and also go out dancing with her once or twice whilst I am staying in her house.

I am sorry for the delay of the posts recently because I have just been quite busy and settling in to my new accommodation.
